Bose® - The music Boss

Last week I was out of station and while driving back I was eagerly waiting to listen to my new gadget which was delivered when I was out. Yes I was waiting to hear… And it is nothing but new Bose® Bluetooth speaker. In my previous post I explained how to convert normal speaker into Bluetooth speakers. But when I saw this Bose® SoundLink™ mobile speaker I could not resist myself from buying it.

It has got a nice retro look. It comes with nice cover which also acts as stand when you’re playing the music. It comes with AUX IN so if you have any music player that doesn’t have Bluetooth but has got AUX OUT then you can use this speaker with it. Other advantage of this device is that it comes with battery, so you can truly make it a mobile speaker. I don’t have to write about sound quality since it is Bose®. It is simply awesome. Bluetooth connectivity is good. It remembers last 5 paired devices and if any one device is found active near by then it connects automatically to that device. It is really compact and easy to carry. So you can carry it with you on your vacation if you don’t wanna miss on your favorite music. One nice feature of this is, if you close the cover of it then the device stops playing music.
There are 2 models of SoundLink™ one with nylon cover and black finish (Rs. 19,013) and the other with leather cover with silver finish (Rs. 23,513). There is no difference in specification or sound quality in these two models.

The only disappointing factor about this device is its battery life. Though Bose® claims that it lasts for 8 hours but it depends on volume level. So if you listen to

music at high volume then battery life is less and my experience says that it lasts for about 3-4 hours at reasonable level of volume. Also I was disappointed with Bose® store (Korum Mall, Thane) where I visited. When I visited they said that the model with nylon cover is out of stock, you pay the entire amount and we will get it for you in a week’s time. They delivered it in a week’s time but what I come to know is it that it was available in other stores. So I am not sure what the actual problem is, but taking the entire amount at the time of booking is definitely not a good business practice, I feel.
