It’s not bug…. Its Bugg…

This is a recent cute little addition to my gadget collection. It’s called Bugg. JBL Bugg. It’s a portable speaker. It is so compact and cute that I could not resist myself from buying it. It is so portable that you can carry it in your pocket as well. It has 3.5 mm audio pin, so you can connect it to any device offering 3.5 mm audio jack such as laptop, most of the recent phones, most of the tablet PC, etc. you cannot expect great voice quality from this cute little speaker, but what it delivers is definitely amazing.
Voice quality is surely above average for this size of speakers. Both bass and treble levels are good. Another best feature of this device is that you can make a chain of multiple Buggs by connecting one Bugg to the other. So if you need louder music then you can go for more than one Bugg and connect them one after the other for louder sound. Fully charged Bugg can play sound for about 6 hrs. It comes with USB charging cable and cute little pouch to carry. The only thing I did not like in this cute package is the length audio cable. The cable is not even 1 foot long. So consider you are playing songs from your iTouch and you want to change song then you have hold iTouch in one hand and Bugg in other. The small cable matches with its miniature size, but makes it inconvenient to use. Just like this product my review also is small this time.

Gadgetdost verdict: If you listen to music on your cell phone speaker and are not happy with the sound quality but are not ready to invest in better model just for this then you should seriously think of this cute little gadget or you want to give a gift to your music lover friend then you have one more choice. It’s called JBL Bugg.
P.S.: On JBL site / retail shop the price of Bugg is Rs. 1800 whereas on Flipkart it is available at Rs. 1400.

  3. Yes, you can charge through USB cord. In fact in box they provide USB cord only and no power adapter.
