A Lightbulb that illuminates 16 Million Colors

Electronics giant Philips has introduced "hue", claimed to be the smallest lightbulb that can illuminate 16 million colors.

 


This LED light bulb is web-enabled and can be controlled via an iPad or iPhone app. It is capable of producing almost every color in the spectrum of the light. It can offer over 90 shades of white.

 At present its launched only in the US and is available at exclusively at Apple Stores - starter kits retail for US$199 while additional light bulbs will cost you US$59 each.
