Lenovo's Android Phones in India - Starting at Rs. 6,499

Lenovo, one of the world's leading PC maker, has entered the Indian smartphone market with five android phones priced between Rs. 6,499 and Rs. 28,499. The move pushes company's four screen strategy (PCs, Tablets, Smartphones and Smart TVs.).

Initially these phone will only be available in Southern States and Gujarat and will take another six months to be available across the country.
Lenovo K860
This has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, with a 5-inch IPS display which has a 720×1280 pixel resolution. It comes with an 8-megapixel camera, and 8GB memory. Price: Rs 28,499.
Lenovo S880
This also has a 5-inch display, large screen, but a slim 9.9mm design, and dual-SIM capability. Price: Rs 18,999.
Lenovo S560
This has Dolby Digital Plus technology, which Lenovo claims will make music sound better than ever. It has a dual-core processor, a 4-inch IPS screen and a 5 megapixel camera. Price: Rs 14,499.
Lenovo P700i
This is another dual-SIM, 4-inch smartphone which will cater to business users. Lenovo claims it has talk-time of up to 28 hours and can be on standby for up to 13 days. It has a a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 4-inch IPS display. Price: Rs 12,499.
Lenovo A60+
It has a 1GHz processor, runs Android 2.3 operating system, and has a 3.5-inch screen. Price: Rs 6,499. 

Gadgetdost Verdict
Lenovo has witness unprecedented success in the PC market. Due to price factors and variety of models it offers, Samsung holds the No. 1 position in the Indian Smartphone market. Only time will tell if Lenovo will be able to conquer the market share where every week we see new models being offered by small players like Micromax, Karrbon and iBall among others…
