I had one more challenge that her favourite songs were scattered on all different gadgets like 2 cell phones, iTouch, iPad. Since all these gadgets have got a 3.5 mm audio jack, next thing that I tried was to connect my computer speakers with these gadgets using audio jack. Sound level and sound quality was approved! Aah, I got my first breakthrough! But that too had another limitation, since the gadget is connected to the speakers by wire it had to be kept near the speaker. So if she wanted to change the song she had to come to the gadget to change it. Well something more had to be thought…
While thinking on this problem, I realized that my Bluetooth headset (Samsung SBH650) also had a 3.5 mm audio jack. So I decided to connect that Bluetooth headset to the speaker and cell phone or iTouch/iPad to
the Bluetooth headset. And lo! my problem got solved. Now I could play music from any gadget that can be connected to the Bluetooth headset (most of the music playing instruments have that nowadays) and listen to music on good quality speakers.

Do it yourself
Requirements:

- AUX cable
- Bluetooth headset with 3.5 mm Audio jack
- Music player with facility to play on Bluetooth devices
- Connect one end of AUX cable to your music system and the other to your Bluetooth headset
- Pair music player with Bluetooth headset
- Switch on the music system and select AUX In Mode
- Start playing music on the player and select Bluetooth device as play back
BTW my wife’s reaction after this was ‘what an idea sirji!!!’
What is the cost of this? Which is the recommended brand for this bluetooth set? Is this only in Samsung or we can use it for any?
ReplyDeleteI assume you have the speakers and music player with you. So you have to spent is about Rs. 2000-4000 on Bluetooth device. No it is not just for Samsung but this solution can work with any Bluetooth device as long as it has got 3.5mm audio port. e.g. Bluetooth headsets of Nokia, Sony, Jabra can be use for the same.
